Welcome to my first blog post on our new Metal Gear Portal site. It's currently only running in Japanese now, but that shouldn't stop you from accessing my English blog.
Right. I should introduce myself...
My name is Ryan Payton. I'm an assistant producer here at Kojima Productions. I work on all of our titles, wearing different hats for each project. I also host our English podcast, The Kojima Productions Report, which is set to make a comeback within a few weeks.
So as I kick off this blog, I should probably consider why you would be accessing it in the first place. You want to know more about our studio and the games we create, right? Well, aside from the occasional rant about music, life in Roppongi, or the Seattle Seahawks, this blog will be a good source for commentary on my life at the studio.

I get to work at around 9 A.M., about an hour before most of the staff arrives. It's nice to get here a little early, catch up on work, and not start out the day running around trying to get notes together before meetings and deadlines.
That's not to say that I'm working harder than other members of our production... I cheat, and I'll explain how in my next big update.
