Games Radar's TGS wrap-up vodcast discusses the Japanese opinion of the Xbox 360, their consensus that the PSP has failed and that, "There were a lot of Japanese people at TGS" It's their first Vodcast, so hopefully we can expect a bit more energy out of their next one.
It's becoming pretty insulting to watch some of these vodcasts. I'm beginning to think that these media sites purposely make their reporters dress like slackers. I don't need these guys to record this stuff in tuxedos, but I fear that what you see in the image above is actually how massive gaming media conglomerates view You and I.
If you navigate to the Games Radar site, they state that Senior Editor Christian Nutt and PlayStation Channel Editor Mikel Reparaz just got off a plane when they filmed this vodcast. I'm sure that's true, but can't they just take a second and put on a pair of pants, or how about just losing the Adidas All Stars?
Maybe they couldn't change, maybe the plane landed outside the office, they walked in and someone screamed, "ACTION!". Even still, whoever let this video go live thought that how they present themselves means nothing towards my opinion of their content. Christian and Mikel look like nice enough guys, but I do care if they take some time to present themselves in at least a semi-professional way when broadcasting about the industry I love. I don't know about you, but I'd like the stereotype of "slacker" taken off of gaming as soon as possible and videos like this don't help.
I do think the scribbled "TGS" on the white board was a nice touch, though.
