The Golden Age Of RPGsGamasutra are in the midst of chronicling the history of RPGs, and have just got to what they call the "Golden Age" of 1985-1993. Couldn't agree more - QFG II is still my favouritest RPG. If you were a CRPG fan living in 1985, you were one of the luckiest gamers in history. Never before had such a torrent of high-quality commercial titles appeared simultaneously on the shelf. The article is nine pages long, so bring tea and buscuits. But it's definitely worth the time. My only gripe would be that more coverage of Battletech would have been nice.
