No longer confined to the British Isles, the oh-so-sweet pink PS2 is making it's way to Australia on March 15. Which probably means it's already here, sitting in some warehouse as burly warehouse workers giggle and snicker. Surprised this didn't launch here when it did in the UK, seeing as it's for the same reason: girls dig SingStar, pink is a girls colour, pink might get more girls to buy a PS2. Games such as SingStar have really heightened the appeal of the PlayStation 2 for a whole new diverse audience, who may not previously have considered themselves 'gamers. PlayStation is all about fun and with more and more people, especially women, enjoying a night in with the PlayStation 2, the introduction of this pink version gives them a new and colourful option when purchasing the console. Not patronising at all. And yes, Fahey, I'll get you one. Luke Plunkett Article: kotaku.com/gaming/ps2/pink-ps2-to-confront-australian-masculinity-242498.php
