The Game Employment Education Conference 2007 is in five weeks, and will feature five experts from Gas Powered Games and ArenaNet to guide you through successful behaviors and traits, a solid education, and into employment in the gaming industry.
These experts in game design, programming, art, game testing, and human resources will speak on their field of expertise and share hard won knowledge.
Students will come away with an educational guideline to follow which will make them stand out among the crowd. Student graduates and those looking to enter into gaming will learn tips for landing the job, and common mistakes that land your resume in the trash bin. Industry professionals and those seeking to transfer appicable experience from other industries will learn what it takes to succeed, instead just surviving.
Interspaced with the educational sessions will be networking opportunities with hundreds of other attendees and industry experts who will be walking around to find new talent. Bring your resume, portfolio, or laptop to show to a whole host of local game companies who will be stationed at booths inside and outside the exhibit hall. Please be prepared with writing materials, fully charged laptop batteries, and be dressed to meet your future employer. We urge for everyone to arrive earlier than later, and to read the parking restrictions at the Meydenbauer Center area on our directions page.
