Back from Korea. Although it was a short trip, it was fun to sample the local life there for a few days. I got to witness on-hand the latest HP TX-1000 "Touch-and-Twist" notebook and played around with their latest HP TouchSmart PC. Very, very cool. The whole trip went well, and I'm glad with how my interview with the HP product designers went. The city district reminded me of Sydney in the winter. Maybe it was the sight of so many people bundled up in warm clothing juxtaposed against tall modern skyscrapers and smaller buildings with floors numbering in the single digits. It all felt very nostalgic as I stood on the sidewalk, watching cars pass by as my bare fingers slowly turned blue in the chilly air. Although I spent most of the time window shopping with the Malaysian journalists contingent, I managed to sneak in some personal time by visiting the national palace and walking around a few shopping districts by myself. I wish I had more time (and money!) to stay in Korea but I guess this will do for now. If I ever get to go again, I'll extend my trip to soak in more of the sights and sounds of Korea. fatcatlim.livejournal.com/178394.html
