Game piracy ranks 24th, Cobra Commander very displeasedA good thing, or a bad thing? You will have to decide. Gamerjunk picked up information about the rankings of all illegal products sold worldwide, and the news was rather interesting. According to a list of contraband products, pirated video games ranks 24th overall. Worse still, it's tied with counterfeit cosmetics. The site lists both sets of products with 3 billion, so we're assuming that trade for said items has reached that much in American dollars and cents. While the site itself admits a particular inaccuracy with the derivation of values because the figures are based on estimates (How do you ask an arms dealer how much they make without getting shot in the head?), you have to realize that these are essentially the kinds of numbers law enforcement officials worldwide have to contend with every day. Personally, I'd hope game piracy ranked even lower, but between low rankings of game piracy and low rankings of human trafficking (currently 8th) and human smuggling (14th), I'd prefer lower rankings of the latter two. In other news, Cobra Commander literally fired a good portion of his staff today in an effort to recoup COBRA's losses. Said Cobra Commander, "A terrorist organization determined to rule the world needs funding, and if my staff can't cut it, I'll cut them instead." feeds.feedburner.com/~r/qj/wii/~3/43540357/71198
